Risk Assessment

1. When filming outside make sure there is no heavy weather conditions as the camera and any other electrical equipment could get wet and become damaged. In situations such as light or little rain carry waterproofs to cover any electrical equipment to keep it covered and protected from the weather conditions. Stay clear from any puddles or dripping water, as it is likely to damage the electrical equipment.

2.  Any loose wires should be taped to the floor or a wall, as someone could trip and fall and hurt themselves, the wires could also become tangled and knotted, therefore it will wear out the wires. If the wires that are linked to the camera gets caught it could possible pull the camera over braking it, so it’s most important to tape the camera wires down.

3. When filming on the street it is important to be aware of the road for the safety of the crew and others around the set. It’s best not to film to close to the road and a car could speed onto the curb, possible hurting the crew or destroying the equipment or props.

4. When the camera is on the tripod it is important to make sure the camera is securely fix onto the tripod, this is because the camera could be knocked off and damaged or if filming from a height it could also fall and become damaged.

5. When using the television and game console it is important to make sure the electronics don’t become over heated, as someone could burn themselves or the electronics could possibly blow up causing a fire. The heat could also cause any batteries in the electronics to burn therefore damaging the electronics.

6. When braking the game controller, make sure there is nothing else in the way that can also become broken, also make sure not to hurt yourself or anyone else around. Make sure there is and broom and a bin so it can be cleaned up ASAP after filming to prevent anyone from getting hurt.

7.  Keep and food or drinks away from electrical equipment as it could get damaged, any liquids spilt should be cleaned up ASAP as someone could slip and hurt themselves, make sure everyone is aware of the spillage.

The risk assessment is used to make us aware of risks and dangers that could happen during fliming. It helps to prevent and lower the risks of anything bad happening, and also helps to solve the problem if  these dangers do accure.
