Short Film Poster research:

Most short film posters use the same features as a feature length film however they have some differences.

  • The release date is usually the date/time/name of a film festival

  • The image is very simple compared feature length, using only the main character(s)

  • General information such as, name of film, production company, director(s)/actors names.

  • Gives small clues of what the film is about

Photoshop Plan

The urban and reality side has taken over the gaming side and this is presented through the urban background dominating the poster and taking over more space then the gaming half this conntotes how his mind has overrun the gaming and he cant tell the difference between reality and gaming.

In this planned poster there are two very distinct separations of two different worlds this character is in. One half he is playing a video game in his room that is being light up by his room but in the half  he cannot distinguish video gaming and reality therefore he has gone to the extent of playing the game in the real world.

The poster highlights how gaming has created a personality disorder within him and has become unable to split gaming and reality apart and has become a violent and uncontrollable person.

Sketch poster draft

In this sketch of the poster we have a split screen of  both sides of the charicter when his perseption of reality has changed. In one side he is urban with half grafiti urban and the other half we have a middle class boy who is playing video games in his living room.

The clothes always show this split as on one half he is wearing a hood an in the other half he is wearing a standard tshit, this showsand highligts the sterotypes that comes with these types of clothing.

The biggest change is the oxymoron of what he is holding in his hand, on his right hand he is holding a gun however, on the left he is holiding a gaming controlled.
